Try Catalyst Forum online

We are trialling a new addition to Catalyst: an online forum. All material in this issue of Catalyst is available online, with opportunity for comment. Other material, including some expanded articles and electronic media, is being progressively added. Catalyst Forum online users can also add their own material.

The current Youth Ministry topic will run for approximately six months, until the next Catalyst is published in the first quarter of 2009. You can access Catalyst Forum online by following the links at www.su-international.org or via the links in this issue of Catalyst. Let us know what you think.

Building Youth Ministry Resources

At Catalyst Forum online, we have begun to create a Youth Ministry resource list! It includes suggested books, journals, websites, weblinks, Youtube, MP3 and other material that may be useful. We see this as only a beginning and look to you to add resources, especially in languages other than English. Please use the facilities at the site or email claytonf@su-international.org with your suggestions.

Translators Needed

Catalyst is produced in Spanish, English and French to make it accessible to the majority of SU people around the world. The development of Catalyst Forum online poses a huge translation challenge for us – we need your help!

Assistance is needed from people with appropriate skills to assist in the translation of articles and comments posted on the site. We will actually have three sites – one for each language – so translation from one language to another will be necessary if all information is to be available to all users.

A team of people willing to translate one or two articles, or particular comments, would be wonderful. Could you help? Are you able to donate a few hours every so often to help your colleagues from around the world effectively share and listen to each other? Is there someone you know who might be willing to help us?

If you can help, please contact Clayton Fergie at SU International: claytonf@su-international.org

And finally…

  • Would you like to receive Catalyst via email? Contact Sue Stott at a1admin@su-international.org
  • Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Catalyst and Catalyst Forum online. Your willingness to share your stories and thoughts with colleagues around the world will not be in vain!
  • Over to you! It is our prayer that Catalyst will encourage and inspire you. Use it for both personal and group reflection and discussion…and let us know how it goes!

Stories in your site are very interesting and enriching.
The girl that prays for other girls before they go out for prostitution is doing a wonderful job. Is there no result from her labours? I will like to read that some of those girls have turned to the Lord and stopped their reckless life. We jope to see more results frm other lands.
